Stateless
By Chris Colepaugh & Craig Watson
a citizen of the modern world,
a citizen left undone
a citizen with no stone unturned,
enemy number one
a lack of any race or creed,
desperate for disdain
a citizen cares in quiet despair,
lacking all but name
drop the flag I’m American ready
these deviled eyes pan slow and steady
raise the flag for the stateless one
I'll pump my fists and fire my guns
despite the rise, despite the fall ,
despite what he has heard
a genius rendered motionless,
his work thus undisturbed
a genius lacking race or creed,
a citizen no more
the wolf is tamed by social shame
and rests outside his door

My World
03:28
|
|||
This morning mirror chews me up
and stares me in the face
It’s not the art that draws me in;
it’s me put in my place
I’m fixed upon the image
that’s covering my tracks
I’m fixing all the winnings,
and burning all the maps
It’s truth without the baggage;
My world without the strife
A prize without the fighter;
A simple shot-of-life
The lullabies that keep me safe-
are those that make me cry
I haven’t seen a sign of life,
and haven’t wondered why
I take this chance to start anew
and lull myself to sleep
I haven’t seen a sign of life
and haven’t earned my keep

The Ghosts
02:52

Try to bite your tongue off…
then let them bite your soul
Stick yourself in silence and put it all on hold
Shatter all your senses and shatter all your pride
These million dollar phone calls…
mean million dollar minds
Beg and borrow with all their might
‘Cause all these Ghosts can’t get it right
Beg and borrow for all them bombs
‘Cause all these Ghosts can’t right the wrongs
All this empty freedom… and all these empty cues
All this truth forbidden,
through all these workin’ blues
All these fractured voices,
and all these precious souls
Pick up all the pieces
and get lost within these roads…

Goin' Down
03:05
|

Yeah, I`m going down
Going down, down, down, down, down
I`m going down
Going down, down, down, down, down
Got my big feet, hanging on to the ground
Don`t let me down, close that boxcar down
Don`t let me down, close that boxcar down
I`m going back
